Vriko 遂哭著找運動心理學家求助，「我說我真的不知道如何擺脫這種邊跑邊想放棄的心態，每一次訓練最少三小時，我好像在逼自己去做一件我不想做的事」。對方反問，覺得跑步很辛苦是否因只著眼訓練而看不到得著 ，Vriko 當刻回想，玩巴西柔術時的確興奮得多，制服對手時會有成功感，但跑步時只覺得自己跑不動、慢、想放棄。對方建議在訓練行程訂立「獎勵」，「跑半公里，讓自己走半公里，那半公里就是獎勵，不是失敗，是我的獎勵，這種心態的轉換令我可以跑下去，堅持跑了很多個月」。至今跑了接近一年，她慢慢享受跑步，「聽到自己身體的感覺」，更了解自己身體的變化。
因身型被網民嘲諷 夏威夷街頭被讚身材好
因為身型的關係，Vriko 從小到大被附上「肥妹仔」、「不勤力」等標籤。在香港浸會大學和挪威卑爾根大學求學期間，她開始做網上生意，曾以年輕女創業家身份到 TEDx Talks 分享，她與夏威夷朋友一同創立護膚品牌，但曾因兩人的身形懸殊而受網上評撃，「被人在網上笑一肥一瘦，憑什麼教人家做皮膚護理」。
八年前，Vriko 到夏威夷探朋友時遇到在港未曾有過的體驗：街上有人讚她身材好。反之她纖瘦的朋友稱其身型按當地標準是不夠漂亮，「這事令我們對美學有更多思考，我們創立這個品牌是希望每個人都可以找到屬於他們的美好」。亦因如此，Vriko 開始更留意自己的身體，當年才 24 歲的她驚覺上樓梯會喘氣、肌肉不時緊繃，遂開始為身體健康而做運動。由泰拳和舉重，到巴西柔術和瑜伽，到最近一年的跑步訓練，讓她感到更健康。
